The non-affiliated levy of £2.00 applies
to runners who are not members of a Running Club affiliated to either UK
Athletics or the Association of Road Running Clubs (ARC)
9 MILE SENIOR RACE - Permit No. ARC T.B.A , course officially measured and
certified accurate, SEAA 03/057.
Traditional course,
hardly changed for 26 years, but including the changes made in 2007 because of difficulty over the town centre road
closure. Mostly traffic free country roads through attractive villages and hamlets.
Hilly.
Age limits 16 years and over on
1st June 2008
Individual Classes Men - under 40 yrs, 40+, 50+ and 60+
Ladies - under 35 yrs, 35+and 45+
Team Classes
Mens' and Ladies' Open (UK Athletics Affiliated clubs)

JUNIOR RACE
The Junior Race and Fun Run route is from Crewkerne Market Square to Shutteroaks (on 9 mile race route) and return.
Distance 3 miles approx.
Age limit
13 to 15 years on 1st June 2008
Individual Classes Boys
13 - 15 and Girls 13 - 15
Team Classes
Teams of 4 Boys or 3 Girls
FUN RUN & WALK
(same course as Junior Race)
Age limit - None but children under
9 must be accompanied by an adult. These events are non-competitive, but there will be numerous spot prizes and awards for fancy dress.

High quality dated Crewkerne medal for all junior race, fun run & walk finishers.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Changing and toilets (sorry, no showers), clothing storage, refreshments, local pubs, plenty of parking.
Radio linked marshals, British Red Cross, Police. Drinks every 2 miles. Results on-line, or posted for 50p.
There are many trophies and awards in the senior and junior race classes detailed above as well as spot prizes in all events.
The Crewkerne ‘9’ event is Race No.
6 of the Somerset Race Series, now 16 events, 8 to count. Next event - 'Quantock Beast' on Sunday
